Insulated makes a difference

I had an uninsulated areated bucket - but the California heat would eventually kill the minnows. Tried ice cubes - and of course keeping them in the shade as much as possible on my open boat - but seemed like a constant worry and eventually the minnows got overheated and died. So spent the extra money for the insulated and made a difference first time out. No moving the bucket into the shade as the boat moved around. After a few uses - I probably made up the difference in the extra cost with the minnows I saved for fresh use. Buy the insulated - I promise you'll not regret it.

Frabill Bait Bucket

A quality product. Well made with strong air pump. I use it in salt water.

Kinda disappointed

I wanted a minnow bucket to keep bait cool, aerated and alive for a long car trip of several hours. The Frabill Min-O2 Life Bucket does that. However, if you fill it more than half full, the water sloshes around and spills out the top, soaking anything close by, since the top has holes in it and is not water tight. It keeps bait alive, I'm just kinda disappointed that smelly fish water soaks everything close by if you fill it too full.
