Freebird Boulder Reviews:

So, I purchased these with some thought they might need to go back, but even though they were a bit pricey they were what I had been seeking for a while. First, I found them to run true to size. If like me, you wear a 1/2 size, I would recommend going up a size, at least that worked for me. The foot part is a little big, but with a boot it's not a big deal and you can wear heavier socks. They are mid/calf, on people with longer legs than me, probably lower than mid-calf, so do understand that they are not boots that go near the knee. The calf and ankle fit loose, but intentionally stylish slouchy loose, not sloppy loose. (I have average width calves and was wearing size 6 boots). They are comfortable to walk in and are fine for city walking. (I don't know that they'd be the boots you'd opt for a long country hike.) I had feared they'd feel heavy and clunky, and while they aren't light weight, they are not annoyingly heavy when you walk. Also, fairly easy to get in and out of, though at least on mine, the zippers don't actually work. I bought them to wear primarily with leggings-like pants and straight skinny jeans, and they are perfect for that. Since I'm very short, I probably wouldn't wear them with skirts, since my leg doesn't need to be chopped up, but they would probably be fine with skirts if you're taller. The heel provides a a bit of height, but is wide and stacked, so you really don't feel like you're walking in heels. Overall I'm quite content with them.

These are so cute, they go with about everything I own and are slowly replacing my knee high boots. I got these in "stone"; I felt the color is exact as the picture. I am waiting for them to break in so that the leather will start to slouch a bit more, but overall the boot is lovely. Out of the box they will bleed color on to your pants though, but this part of the dye process and doesn't last long.
