I bought these in black but to me they just look like rain boots. Very expensive rain boots. The opening is very wide, the leather is buttery soft and I could see it slouching over time but I'm 5'4 and this was not a flattering look for me. The sole looks cheap and is what gives it a rain boot look. To each his own though. But not my cup of tea. I exchanged them for the Veronica Shortie, much more of a classic but dressy Frye style. These boots did fit very well and offered good support. Fryes fit seem to vary. I'm usually a true seven but in this boot a 7.5. It seems like for some they are true to size and others no. I'd recommend going up a half size especially if your foot is not narrow.
I just received these boots only one word to describe - Wow, they are so soft and they have a great look. They run a little bit too big, I always wear a size 7 in Frye but I can put a heavy pair of socks on. Love these boots. Frye are my go to boots.
Great boot but because of a problem with a very high arch on one foot I am forced to return these boots. I love the look and color but getting them on my right foot was difficult and uncomfortable. Boots are great my feet are weird.
Love these boots. Have been looking for a good, comfortable pair of boots for years. My right foot is pretty flat so the right boot is a little tighter, I might recommend going a half size up if you have wide feet.

I have these boots in the taller version and I was really hoping they would have the same fit. The leather doesn't seem as soft and the finish doesn't look like the high quality I would expect from Frye. As someone else mentioned, they really look like rain boots. Really, really expensive rain boots. Unfortunately, they're going back, but thanks Zappos for the easy returns, as always.
