Just want anyone to know who purchases this boot that they are very, very snug when first worn. I recommend you wear the boot inside and walk for a couple of hours, give your feet a break and repeat for the first 2 days. The leather is extremely flexible as far as boots go. Within a month you will be buckling the boot tighter to snug them up. this is the case for most Frye boot. As far as arch support the boots fall a little flat for my liking but they look very good. Also Fryes warranty will honor your Zappos receipt which you can have the boots repaired or replaced up to 2 years of your purchase.

I originally purchased this boot in size 9; however, it didn't fit. It was too narrow, and it was tight in terms of length. I took a chance and ordered the 9.5. This was a risk, as I've never worn a 9.5 in my life. In fact my closet has about an equal number of 8.5s as 9s. But that half size bump did the trick. The fit was much better, and the style was the reason I purchased them in the first place. It's a very sturdy shoe (in a good way) that feels like it will break in even more, though it's comfortable out of the box. I'm really enjoying this boot.

I really wanted the Phillip Inside Zip, but they didn't have my size by when I needed them. These are very well made boots. My gripe with them is that the buckle straps are buckled at one end and Buttoned at the other. The buttons suck. I get the ease of access idea, but they constantly pop open due to my jeans catching it, or one shoe brushing the other. It's ridiculous. I am literally going to glue the things closed. I wear a size 10 generally but went with a 9.5 and they fit good for length. They were very tight at first and now the right boot has broken in but my left foot is suffering. I'm hoping it gets to be as nice as the other. One concern is that the zipper hits the top of the heel and rubs a fair amount. The small leather covering inside does not cover completely and has moved to were it doesn't cover at all. I'm wondering if this is going to trash my socks. So, all in all I like them, but I am waiting so see how they break in completely, how the zipper in back is going to wear on my foot and socks, and I'm going to glue the snaps closed. I wish they were just riveted. I may look into having them riveted, but then the rivet would be inside the boot. For the money these couple concerns should not be an issue.
