Frye Rebecca Penny Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

These are beautiful shoes, with the classic Frye quality. I originally ordered a 10 (my normal size) in the dark brown vintage leather. I returned them for two reasons. The 10 was slightly big, and being a soft driving shoe, I knew they would stretch. The second reason was because the dark brown was very dark brown. I returned them for a smaller size in the cognac color, which I know I can darken up, if needed. These are beautiful shoes, exactly what I was looking for!

I usually wear an 8 1/2 or 9. So I ordered these in an 8 1/2. They ran so big. I will try the 8's to see if they will work.

These shoes look and feel great. I love how versatile they are. However, looking good with jeans is my primary criteria. Didn't have to break them in at all!

Negative Reviews:

I really wanted to love these shoes. They are extremely comfortable and very cute. Unfortunately I have only worn them 4 or 5 times and the bottom of the shoes are already falling apart. The leather is completely rubbing off of the bottom of the shoes and will clearly break through after a couple more wears.

Neutral Reviews:

I love the look of this shoe and ordered it in Tan. It is a fine looking shoe. However, after multiple wearings, it has stretched to a point that I can barely keep it on my foot, especially in width. It is also very soft and the leather has already worn through on the toe and bottom from contact with the ground. The shoe provides next to zero support and is not at all comfortable walking long distances. I wore it in New York City and my feet were killing me. The little rounds nubs on the bottom are wearing away so it was like walking with just a soft piece of leather between my foot and the pavement with the added annoyance of these little rubber balls nubs hitting all the wrong places on my soles. Fortunately, Zappos is an awesome company that will allow me to return these despite their (premature) ragged condition. I recommend Pikolinos over these as moccasins/loafers. They are much more durable.
