Fusion Msr Ammunition -
Fusion MSR hunting ammunition for modern sporting rifles takes toughness, accuracy and lethality to all new levels. Every feature on these new rounds was specially designed for hunting MSRs. The low-flash, fast-burning propellant and primers are compatible with free-floating firing pins. FederalĀ®-made brass cases include a harder case head for exceptional primer retention. A military-style colored iris gives a visual confirmation of proper case metallurgy. Innovative construction processes electrochemically fuse the bullet jacket to the core. The result is superior weight retention and game-dropping energy transfer. The boattail bullet is internally skived for consistent long-range expansion.

62GR Fusion MSR Excellent deer medicine!

I decided to use this ammo in my Mossberg MVP chambered in 5.56mm for deer hunting this year. I sighted in for 100 yards dead on and decided on no shots greater than 300 max. Where I hunt here in Montana sometimes shots can be offered for over five hundred yards. I know my own reasonable expectation though is a max of 500 with my 30/06 but only 300 with the 5.56 on deer and antelope. The first deer I shot was at a range of 113 yards. It just happened to be the largest white tailed deer of my life. I hit him right behind the shoulder and he dropped at the shot. The second deer I shot was at thirty-seven yards and ran twenty-two yards before piling up. That was a yearling buck with no antlers even started. Both deer exhibited the same terminal damage to the lungs. They were turned to mush. The big buck had the top of his heart hit and I attribute this to the immediate drop. I missed the heart of the yearling by a fraction of an inch. I can say that for deer and antelope I have found a new bullet! Awesome stuff with real world results!

Great value and accurate ammo

I have a Stag 7HL w/ 20" barrel and used the 115gr fusion's as well as some Hornady ammo the first day I took my new rifle out.
After the initial 20 shots this ammo was just over 1 MOA out of my rifle with no failure to feeds.
Would not hesitate to take this ammo in the field for fun or hunting.

Good results with my AR

Had good results at the range with this ammunition. I have a 16" ARP barrel and BCG, mid length gas and standard carbine buffer. No problems ejecting or feeding using C Products Defense 10 round mags. Was getting 1' groups at 100 yards, pretty sure a better shooter can have better results. Going to try them on a hunt next month.

Neutral Reviews:

Weak and overpriced.

Shooting a AR-15 6.8 SPC2, 20", mid-length gas, 5oz buffer.
These rounds caused a failure to feed each and every round for 40 shots.
Accuracy was acceptable (25-100yd).
I find them over-priced & under-powered.
May work better with the stock 3oz buffer, will update when attempted.
No problems with: Winchester 115gr FMJ, SSA 110gr AccuBond, & SSA 110gr Pro-Hunter.
The SSA's are highly accurate & the same price!
