G. Loomis Nrx Spinning Rods -
The new benchmark in spinning rods. For years the GLX was the standard by which all high-performance rods were judged. Now there is a new king. The NRX series is the lightest, strongest and most sensitive rods G.Loomis has ever built. Constructed using higher modulus graphite paired with a state-of-the-art nano silica matrix resin system, these rods are at least 15% lighter, 15% stronger and more impact-resistant than equivalent-power GLX rods. Put one in your hand and you’ll experience the highest levels of accuracy, power and sensitivity. Each incorporates the finest components, including super-lightweight skeleton reel seats, grips and guides selected specifically for this series. Hybrid guide configuration with Fuji® SiC titanium frame (stripper plus two) and single-foot REC® recoil guides. High-density (HD) cork grips increase sensitivity, are more durable and lighter weight than grade A cork. Includes custom rod sock. Covered by G.Loomis’ limited lifetime warranty. Made in USA.

  • 15% lighter and up to 20% stronger than the GLX
  • Fuji SiC titanium and single-foot REC guides
  • Incredible accuracy, power and sensitivity
  • Super-lightweight components

I got the 802S 6-10lb and this rod is incredible. I use braided line and the best I have found for my light tackle uses is 6lb sufix 832. I do not see myself using my mossyback anymore after using this rod. I will be making this my new light tackle rod for reds and trout at the coast. It is one of those rods you never want to put down. On a side note, it handles 1/16oz quite nicely, but 1/8oz is much better allowing the tip to load better for the cast.

Greatest rod ever made

This rod is awesome!! It might seem like a lot of money but what's it worth to you to catch more fish? You can feel so much more with this rod. I upgraded from a GLX and I thought that was a nice rod but it is nothin when you fish with the NRX!

Best rod ever

Didnt want to spend this much on a rod, but after watching a friend use one and trying it myself, had to buy one! Worth every penny! Now am saving up for another, but don't tell the wife!

What, only 2 stars ??

Tremendous rod to fish with, but very brittle. I own 3 GLX's & a G. Loomis crank rod. The NRX tip broke and I had to use my "wild card" to replace it. As brittle as the NRX is, it probably won't be long before it snaps again. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
