G3 Genuine Guide Gear District 100 Ski -
The G3 District 100 Skis are based on the tried and true G3 Tonic. Renamed the District 100 and having acquired a PowerLight Core, the new G3 District 100's are a more responsive, quicker turning ski than the 112. The reduced weight and turning radius make the District 100 faster going uphill, and more responsive in tight spots such as trees. Comfortable all over the mountain, the District 100 is an ideal all mountain ski for advanced to expert skiers, from frontside to backcountry and back again.

  • PowerLight construction uses light and strong paulownia/poplar wood cores between sheets of 7000-series titanal aluminum and triaxial weave of fiberglass for torsion and flex
  • Glossy nylon topsheets keep snow from building up on the tops of the skis
  • PowerLight construction with ABS/TPU sidewall

Weather and Wind:

  • At 100mm underfoot, the District 100 skis are at home on powder snow and carve surprisingly well when you put them on edge on hardpack
  • EarlyRise 2.5 tips offer excellent flotation and easy steering, while the camber underfoot maintains strong edge contact to bite into snow when you're turning

  • Triaxial glass laminate
  • EarlyRise 2.5 rocker has early tip rise with some camber underfoot and a slight tail rise
  • ABS/TPU dual density sidewall
  • ABS plastic and thermoplastic urethane sidewalls stand up to impacts and give the skis a lot of pop when you're coming out of turns
  • Base or topsheet color may vary from online photo
  • The G3 District 100 telemark/randonee skis have P-Tex 2000 Electra bases that are very durable and absorb wax well for good glide
  • Durable steel edges stand up to regular use and dig into hard icy slopes
  • Rockwell C48 steel edges

The all-new G3 District 100 Ski delivers all-mountain versatility with its 100-millimeter waist and an EarlyRise 2.5 profile that has poppy traditional camber underfoot and an early rise tip and a slight rise in the tail. The ski's wide radius sidecut gives it a speedy, stable performance on those big, open backcountry bowls. For that quick and dirty or long and technical ascent, the PowerLight construction with ABS/TPU sidewall and a triaxial glass laminate give you tons of edge hold and precise pressure without sacrificing weight when control is paramount. This District moves from one pristine area to the next like it owns the place.

Oregon Mountain Community
Built on the dimensions of the cherished G3 Tonic, the G3 District 100 skis are perkier due to the Powerlight construction. Nimble in tight trees or gullies, the District, at 100 mm underfoot, is a great choice for the advanced skier seeking a versatile ski inbounds or outside the rope.

A solid, yet light addition to your touring set-up, the District 100 goes all out with tourability, versatility, and performance. Featuring the same legendary dimensions as the G3 Tonic, the District 100 adds PowerLight construction, creating a ski with more stability and less weight. With a 100mm underfoot, the District 100 feels at home wherever you ski.

The District 100 evolved from the Tonic, G3’s all-time most popular ski, the District 100 is all that and a bag of chips. G3 kept the same legendary dimensions but up’ed the ante with PowerLight construction, yielding a ski that’s more stable, more fun, and believe it or not... lighter. At 100 mm underfoot, these ultra-versatile skis are at home wherever you point’em.

REI (2014)

Evolving from the extremely popular G3 Tonic, the G3 District 100 telemark/randonee skis have the same dimensions, but feature PowerLight construction that yields more stable, fun and lighter skis.
