G3 Genuine Guide Gear District 112 Ski -
The G3 District 112 Skis are at the forefront of big mountain backcountry touring. A hefty, 112mm width with a sheet of titanal, triaxial fiberglass and a slew of other features coming in at under 2000 grams makes the District 112 a force to be reckoned with going both up and down the hill. The light tip to tail Paulownia/Poplar core keeps the weight down for the hike up, while the titanal, triaxial glass and superfast Electra base allow you to demolish big mountain features on the ski down.

Lining and Layers:

  • Paulownia/poplar wood core with two layers of Titanal Aluminum

Fabric:

  • Sandwich construction
  • Semi-cap construction with partial ABS sidewall for a good combo of reduced weight, durability and edge hold

Features:

  • P-Tex 2000
  • 112mm underfoot
  • Medium radius sidecut
  • Poplar and paulownia wood core with Titanal aluminum sheet for dampness
  • EarlyRise 3 profile (rocker tip and tail, camber underfoot)
Backcountry.com

Your district is the backcountry, and you like to get there under your own power. With the District 112, G3 offers up the ultimate combination of lightweight touring performance and freeride charging capabilities that will help you bring your off-piste descents to a whole new level. A 112mm gives you generous float, and EarlyRise 3 rocker profile gives the ski awesome maneuverability and stability for your skiing pleasure.

At a claimed weight of 8.2 pounds per pair, the G3 is more than a pound lighter per pair than most of the competition's offerings, and therefore saves you a significant amount of energy on the uphill. This weight savings is achieved through the use of a lightweight yet strong paulownia/poplar wood core. Although the District 112 is extremely lightweight for its size, the use of two layers of Titanal aluminum and dual-density vertical sidewalls make the ski exceptionally stable at high speeds and in crud. G3's own EarlyRise 3 rocker profile places a long area of regular camber underfoot for more edge-hold and stability and early rise in the tip and tail for powder float and easy turn initiation. Strap on the G3 District 112 this season and take your backcountry adventures to the next level.

Oregon Mountain Community
What is wide but light, floats but is stable, and tours uphill but makes turns downhill, really well? Ding, ding! The G3 District skis is the right answer, again this season. With a little more rocker, but the same holding capacity, this is a great District to be in.

Mountain Gear
