G3 Genuine Guide Gear Empire 115 Ski -

When the forecast calls for storm after storm or lake effect is literally dumping snow on your home mountain, reach for the G3 Empire 115 Ski. Made to ski fast, big lines in deep powder, the Empire comes equipped with G3's SweetRise 2 profile. a reverse camber profile that enables you to float on powder, be agile and nimble in deep snow and cruddy chops, and make slarvy turns in soft snow. Its 115mm waist allows this ski to hold a strong edge in hard pack so you're not all squirrely when you ski groomers to make your way to the lift, tram, or gondola.
Armed for battle with G3's PowerRide construction, this big mountain ripper comes stacked with an ABS sidewall for bomber construction and durability while its full tip-to-tail poplar wood core offers superb strength, lightness, and pop. With two sheets of Titanal aluminum to cut down on chatter and vibration and two layers of tri-directional glass for torsion and flex, the Empire 115 provide a smooth ride for straightlining and making big arcing turns down steep, wide, open terrain.
G3 also gave this powder plank Rockwell C48 steel edges for sharpness and durability while a P-Tex 2000 Electra base supplies durability, speed, and wax absorption. So the next time you find yourself looking down upon a pristine field of steep pow hold on tight, and enjoy the fast ride while pow hits you in the face.

Lining and Layers:

  • Progressive, continuous reverse camber profile is matched to the skis' sidecut radius for powerful, fast, big lines in deep powder and they still hold an edge on hardpack

  • PowerRide construction features poplar wood cores between sheets of 7000-series titanal aluminum and a triaxial weave of fiberglass for torsion and flex
  • Skis feature the same powder-slaying construction as the original Empire skis but with narrower dimensions to keep them lighter and more versatile for backcountry travel

  • SweetRise 2 profile with high curvature tip and tail ie. full rocker
  • 115mm waist
  • ABS plastic and thermoplastic urethane sidewalls stand up to impacts and give the skis a lot of pop when you're coming out of turns
  • Tri-directional fiberglass lay-up
  • Durable steel edges stand up to regular use and dig into hard icy slopes
  • Base or topsheet color may vary from online photo
  • Rockwell C48 steel edges
  • The G3 Empire 115 telemark/randonee skis have P-Tex 2000 Electra bases that are very durable and absorb wax well for good glide
