G-Shock Pathfinder PAG240 Reviews:

Reviews:

I got this watch just a few weeks ago. I am now living in China so I had the watch sent to my brother in New York, and he shipped it to me along with some other things you cannot easily get in China. This watch is a more upscale Casio watch for the adventurer or those who just want to feel like one. The watch is lighter than it looks (it looks seriously heavy duty), and has many functions which can be useful. The watch will auto illuminate when you tilt your arm 45 degrees toward your face, only at night, as it has a light sensor. The reason it only stays on for a short time (less than one second) is because it is solar powered and the light will use up much more battery life than normal operation without the light. That being said, it is outstanding for hiking, mountain biking, boating, snorkelling, and around town wear. The titanium looks great. Not at all flashy like stainless steel and yet more upscale or original looking than leather or black rubber. Someone said to me it looked like an antique. And titanium does in fact have that kind of old tarnished silver look. It is definitely rugged, but not oversized or clumsy. Five stars. Great in every way.

This is a great watch. I have many great things to tell you, but you are reading the review for the negatives. So here they are. The light feature to see the time or info in the dark does not stay on for very long and you find yourself pressing the button several times to find the info. This maybe adjustable, but I have not found that option in the tome of a user guide. It is a tad bulky, but given all the features and not having worn a watch for a while, it can be overcome. All in all I am giving this watch high marks. So now I am ready for the Zombie Apocalypse, 2012 Apocalypse or simply hiking.

It was a gift for my husband and he is a man who has everything, and he loved it...wears it as his everyday watch. Looks great on and very lightweight. A good titanium watch!
