Galco V-Hawk Leather Holster

I bought this holster for CCW and couldn't be happier with it. The leather-construction and quality are of tried and true Galco! In my opinion Galco is the best for the money without buying a full custom. It is stiff when it arrives and I would recommend wrapping your pistol in a bread bag and slowly working it into the holster and let it sit for 15minutes to allow the stretching to start occuring. If its still to tight stick pistol still in bag and put into a sock and keep repeating process til its to your likeing. This may take a few times doing but it will stretch out. Very comfortable to wear and with the double loop holds it evens the weight of the pistol out nicely

It can be hard to comfortably conceal a 5" 1911. I first bought the KingTuk model, but it scratched the pretty black finish off my brand new Kimber...not cool. I decided to try the V-hawk because it didn't have the hard Kydex to scratch. I am totally satisfied with this one. It is very comfortable and conceals well. I did need to purchase the 1-3/4" tuck able clips as I am a pastor carrying in church and I don't like to wear a coat. It is a great tuckable holster.
