superior steel jig hook

I was having rusting, dulling and breaking problems with other jig hooks. Tried Gamakatsu heavy wire hooks even though they were not the least expensive. I will never use any other again! They are made of superior steel!!! In a year of hard use and carrying around in damp tackle box; no rust, stay sharp as new, no breaking even when horseing in big fish or unsnagging.

One of the sharpest hooks

Bought these hooks to make jig heads out of them,
They stay sharp longer than off the shelf jighaeds.
Easy to set in fish with hard mouth's.

These are very strong and sharp hooks. We use them to pour our own 1/8 oz. jig heads. Have caught 11 pound catfish on these.

what happened?????

This is my second year using these hooks. With great success the first year, landing nearly 100% of the steelhead I hooked. However the second year results are poor. Loosing as many as I have landed. It seems this years batch of hooks are opening up during the hard fight of these geat fish (2- 10 plus pounds). I can not recommend these hooks anymore. I am currently experimenting with another brand. These hooks are sharp and penetrate well but they just do not hold the fish. With every lost fish we find the hook has opened up. I had come to really worship these hooks not anymore.
