Gamakatsu Straight-Eye Shiner Hooks Reviews:

Great hook for carp!

I use the Gamakatsu Straight-Eye Shiner Hooks for common carp fishing. I find that they work well for both tying a hair-rig and baiting particles directly onto the shank. The hook has a knack for hooking the fish in the bottom of the lip, which is the best place to hook a carp. I also believe the carp have a hard time blowing them back out of their mouths. Gamakatsu hooks are cheaper than most main brand carp hooks too, which helps save on the pocket book. I strongly recommend them for all your sport fishing needs, rather you fish carp, catfish, pike, panfish, or bass. My only complaint is that the hooks are not Teflon coated!!! That is why I only give them four stars instead of five!!!

Great Hooks

Gamakatsu hooks are very sharp and have great hooksets. I use several different types of hooks made by Ganakatsu and they are my personel prefference.
