Gamo Varmint Hunter HP Air Rifle Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

Amazing Rifle, highly recommended.

I got the .177 caliber version of this rifle and it i amazing. After calibrating the scope and getting used to the gun, I am now able to hit any target large enough to focus on from about 30 yards, easy, and when it comes to hunting squirrels and birds, well lets just say I win. From about 35 ft (about 12 yards) i was able to shoot a flying bird strait in the head, it died instantly and dropped to the ground, the pellet went strait through it. If your looking for a great varmint hunting rifle, or simply a rifle to use for target practice, this rifle is insane and you should get it. No questions asked. Oh also a PS: the rifle is pretty loud, however after about a hundred shots it cools down a bit, but its still not exactly quite.

Definetly a Varmint Rifle

I bought this air rifle as my first .22 cal air rifle and I must say that I am impressed. Fucntions well, good accuracy (half inch at 50 yards), and GAMO finnaly put a nice trigger on a gun. Firm trigger but a nice crisp break, not an obnociously long pull like some of the others. Not the quietest air rife, in fact it is quite loud. Not the best if you have neibors close by. Also, it is a thumper for an air rifle. Quite a bit of kick, if you use a cheap scope mount without a lock it will nock the scope off no matter how hard you tighten the screws. All in all, it is a good quality air rifle.

Negative Reviews:

Gun shoots nice but I just can't get the scope mounts to stay on the gun for more than 100 shots. Keep trying to tighten but seems like I have to re sight in every time I use it. Not the most quiet gun either

Did Not Work New Out of the Box

Did Not Work New Out of the Box. Poor instructions. Poorly made. Has tiny out of place screw you can't turn to adjust trigger. Put in the shed. Wasted xmas money. Did not return (Too much trouble).
