Garmin® echoMap 50s - Awesome Product

I have been using the lower cost depth finders for years and have nothing bad to say about the other brands. But the features on the Garmin 50s were very appealing to me as I try to fish a few different lakes each year and all I can say is WOWWW!!! The menus are very easy to use, the display is very vivid, and the contours were very accurate. The only time the screen experienced any washout from the sun was when it was nearly directly facing it. Easy fix to lean a little to shade it or turn the unit on the included swivel mount. Within a few minutes on the first time out with this I marked fish at about 10-15ft in 20-25ft of water. Just followed the contour and had a blast. Another neat item is the waypoints. So easy to use. I hit a waypoint at the boat ramp and it showed me my track the entire way. A very nice feature the first time out on a big lake near sunset. GPS, temp, speed, and waypoints all worked great. Suffice it to say I am now hooked on Garmin.
