Second to None!

I started my venture into ultra running nearly a year ago, which often times takes this watch into tougher 'gps enabled' areas and conditions, i.e. densely woods areas, snow, rain cold weather, and extreme heat..

Garmin has not only perfected their gps capabilites, but they constantly strive to improve their products, never settling to be second to any other.

I owned an older model Garmin watch prior to this, and it performed flawlessly with the exception of when it got wet from my persipiration, at which point it continued tracking my progress, but would not respond to my requests when I would manipulate the touch bezel. Having said that, I was nervous about spending big $'s on another, especially this one, considering it was entirely touch screen.

Having said that, I bought the timex Ironman gps enabled watch. This turned out to be a big mistake. Not only was that watch face bigger than my head and right foot together, it was a nightmare to navigate.. I found myself fighting with the watch during my first run, as it continually left the training pages I was interested in monitoring. Very 'user unfriendly'.

I bought the watch through E.M.S. online store. I then went to a local E.M.S. store in Acton.Mass, where the employee was awesome to say the least! They agreed to take the Timex back, and he showed me multiple watches as I remained indecisive for quite some time. He was patient with me the entire time, and when it came to decision time, I chose to stick with what worked for me in the past, The Garmin series, which led to the purchase of the Garmin 600 series. AMAZING!!!

I can't say enough about this watch. There are absolutely no operating problems with this in any condition, sweat, rain, snow etc. Buy this watch, you won't be disappointed.

Negative Reviews:

Touch screen - bad

The profile is great and fits wrist well. Touch screen is erratic and makes changing screens difficult. Display is small and hard to read.
