Poor Interface

This would be a fine unit if you were only using it minor recreation. The color maps and visable tracks make seeing where you've been easy. However, I use this unit for work where I'm out in the woods all day. It is supposed to work with programs to upload or download waypoints or tracks, it does neither. I thought this would be an upgrade from the old Garmin 76 but its the exact opposite. If you're considering using this for work purposes for serious camping/ hiking trips rethink it.

UPGRADE FROM GPS 12 XL

I FOUND THIS TO BE A BETTER UNIT THAN THE GPS 12 XL BUT STILL AN INTRODUCTION TO GPS NAVIGATION. GOOD AUTOMOBILE FEATURES WITH OPTIONAL ANTENNA AND 12VDC ADAPTER.. THE ANTENNA MAKES IT EASIER TO TRACK SATELLITES. SMALL ENOUGH TO KEEP IN A HANDY POCKET, BATTERIES LAST A LONG TIME. DON'T KNOW EXACT PRICE AS IT WAS PAYMENT FOR MAGAZINE ARTICLE FROM SALT WATER SPORTSMAN.
