Beats a blank..
Works well when route planning with City Navigator North American Street maps as your primary.. this as secondary.. switching between mapsets when needed such as geocaching or hiking.
The most disturbing thing is the 300 to 500 foot map offset from your actual location.. at times. This is fine for the most general of uses.. but I would not count on this for real off road hiking.
