Geax AKA TNT 29er Tubeless Foldable Tire - 29 x 2.2 -

Geax AKA TNT 29er tubeless foldable tire is a cross-country-loving tire that lets you run tubeless or tubed to meet your riding needs and preferences.

  • Double Compound construction puts harder rubber along the center for durability and braking performance; softer rubber is used at shoulders to improve cornering grip
  • Lightweight TNT (Tube No Tube) XC casing boasts flexible 120 tpi construction with extra sidewall reinforcement for improved protection

Traction and Grip:

  • Directional small-block tread offers excellent, fast-rolling performance without sacrificing traction; tall shoulder knobs bite confidently to maximize cornering performance

  • The folding aramid bead on the Geax AKA TNT 29er tubeless foldable tire seats easily in UST rims and standard rims alike
  • TNT design lets you choose between running tubeless (with sealant, sold separately), or going with a traditional tire + tube setup

Positive Reviews:

Best tire ever to run tubeless. Does not leak. Does not burp. Run it at 20psi; it works. Low rolling resistence, fast, and sturdy sidewalls. Maybe not the best for rock after rock after rock, but great for singletack with rocky sections and epic adventures. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a solid tire!

Negative Reviews:

Not for Stan's rims

I'm sure this is a great tire, I really wanted to try it. But the fact remains, this tire is nearly impossible to mount on a Stan's rim. I broke three tire levers (and said many curse words) before giving up and returning it. Just in case you don't believe me, google it. Some people relate it to mounting a 26" tire to a 29" rim.
