Geox Donna Mendi Stivali 31 Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

I am pretty conflicted about this boot. I love how flexible the sole is. I love how well it fits in the heel. I love the color (brown). I love the simple style with a Western influence, but without being kitsch. I love the gored sides which make pulling on / off painless while still ensuring a snug fit above the ankle. However, it feels very narrow; while my foot is a Medium it is the narrower side of Medium, and even to me it feels snug. I know you're supposed to get cowboy boots snug so they can grow, but I'm assuming with Geox that's not the case. Also, just the left boot's sole feels as if it's leaning outward, not level, as if I have a pronation. I don't, and based on the way other shoes feel I am left positive it is this boot, not my foot. The right boot is really rubbing on the (first) metatarsal, as if it wants to develop a bunion. That is not a gift I want from a shoe! Sadly, these'll go back but I am wondering if I ordered another pair if I'd find the left sole level and the rubbing on the right might be ameliorated.

Can't figure out how to edit my above review, but I did go ahead and order two (2) more pairs of this boot just to see if what I suspected was true (that the pair I'd received were wonky). Yes, the pair I'd previous received (and about which I wrote above) are, for lack of a better term, defective. The other pairs I received (same size, same color) are both fine -- the soles don't feel twisted / warped. So now I can unequivocally say that so long as you don't get a defective pair (!), these boots are fantastic. Flexible, comfortable sole. Snug fit, so heels don't slip. Tight to slip on / off, but that's excellent because then they're not all loose in the ankle / heel. I still think they may run a tad narrow, but (again), I'm assuming that's intentional and that they'll give as I wear them. They are beautifully (stylishly) cut. Absolutely recommend for a stylish and comfortable western-inspired ankle boot.

Very comfortable boot. The only complaint is that the back tab on one digs into the area above the ankle. I used a paper clip to fold it over and hold it down and after a couple of days the tab stayed where I wanted it to.

Beautiful boots but not very comfortable. I agree with the other reviewer: very narrow and awkward. Sorry - really lovely boots but they're going back.
