Love it

Wanted a good knife for everyday carry, this is more than I could have wished for. Easy to use and really holds an edge.

Negative Reviews:

Lock mechanism isn't functional

I bought this knive based on the fact that it was a Gerber and having owned Gerbers before I've appreciated the craftsmanship in these knives and the quality and value. Supprisingly this knive was a disappointment. The Gerber Contrast appears to be a nice looking knive( other than the poor surface finish on the G10 handle) but the locking mechanism is stiffer than a 10 day old corpse. Once the lock is engaged it is almost imposible to relese with the use of your fingers, making it almost worthless when you're out in the field. Definitely not worth the money on this one, probably the last time I will purchase a lower end Gerber knive.

had issues with lock

Knife in the case was great. the handle is secure and feels good. Blade is a Gerber so it is great. Nice and sharp. Got mine out of the package and it would not lock open. if I forced it then the lock would engage. Way too sharp of a knife to have come back on you because the lock didn't work. almost took my finger off.
