Gerber Curve Knife Grey Review:

Reviews:

Well, it's inexpensive at least

I have been carrying the Curve as part of my keychain for a few months. I wanted something small that wouldn't feel bulky in my pocket that I could use for occasionally cutting tags off clothes or cutting small rope or anything that might come up. I haven't been all that impressed, honestly. It is an attractive knife and when you see it in the package it looks like a decent quality small knife. I found that even with lite cutting the blade gets dull quickly and I'm not a big fan of the blade locking mechanism, it doesn't move very smoothly and a portion of the base of the lock is plastic. I have a Leatherman Sidekick that has been very good to me, I realize these knives are in a different category due to their size difference and functions but the metal quality and overall feel of the two is significantly different. The Curve also drags a bit when you open a blade, you can feel it rubbing against the other blades and it almost feels as though it is grinding metal on metal, this was the case when I first opened it and it had not been used at all. I like the price of it I suppose, for what you get. For me it a little peace of mind in case something comes up but I won't buy another one, I'll see what Leatherman has to offer next time.
