Gerber EAB Lite Fine Edge Knife Reviews:

Finally! Somebody got it right!

I don't really get excited about many things but this is one product I would recommend to anyone. I've been buying knives for years, all in search of the perfect knife that would hold an edge for a decent time frame. This is the ultimate in sharp. It never has to be sharpened. All stainless steel and a new blade anytime you like for almost nothing. Contractors and tradesmen have been carrying utility knives for years but this is the first time a utility knife has been produced that folds into a very small, thin, pocket friendly package that accommodates a full sized utility blade. As a business man I can carry this small "case cutter" anywhere. With the blade taken out it is not a knife. Get to your designation, stop at a hardware store for a fresh utility blade and you've got a first rate sharp knife for a buck or two. Anyone who picks one of these utility cutters up has to be impressed with the high quality and simplicity.

Utility Knife

I've used 3 versions of this knife for work and hunting in the last 3-4 years. Only knife I carry 90% of the time. It's very sturdy and its inexpensive, not cheap, constuction and the ability to change blades quickly makes it very user friendly. Only time I carry a bigger knife is when I'm hunting deer etc.. I've given a bunch of them as Christmas stocking stuffers,

best styled utility blade holder

The only flaw i really find with the previous version of this knife, which is virtually the same as this one, the screw tensioner will loosen sometimes - locktite will take care of this for the most part.

Otherwise it's so nice to have a very compact knife that you can easily replace the blade on and have nearly razor sharpness with some regularity.

Poor Planning

Small and compact, I didn't buy it to use as a money clip. My main gripe is that the blade isn't a "quick change." You need a small screwdriver or similar to change the blade. Probably not a problem for most but I go through alot of blades.

best purchase ever

I have had this knife for about 2 years and used it for just about everthing. This year I used it to skin 2 white tail deer. AWESOME little guy, never have to sharpen it turn the blade around or change the blade, also MADE very well.
