Good for the money

Got this knife as a xmas present, but the serrated version. it was a little stiff to start with, but has loosened up some with some use. assisted open is a nice feature if you can figure out the best way to push the thumb knob. nice textured handle and ergonomic design is easy to hold and use. sharp blade and coot quality coating. overall i'm happy with it, just wish it was a bit bigger.

Nice carry knife

Just got this piece and after putting it threw a few tests it seems to fit the bill for my usage just fine. Great price, Nice weight, opening assist works as stated and blade very sharp. Curious to see how long the edge will last.

Negative Reviews:

what a poor product

knife looks good, handle is slip resistant, the blade is sharp as is the point, but the blade doesn't want to come out. i had to pry it out the first time and i could hear the metal on metal. i then opened it about 250 times but it never loosened up. the thumb stud is useless and there is no way the "assist" will allow you to open it. hopefully this example is a defect but i'd never buy another one. i shipped it back to cabela's asap.

Blade issue

Received knife to find that blade wouldn't fully close. Break-in period didn't assist with problem. The tip of blade was exposed and unknowingly caused damage in pocket. Knife has no warranty from Gerber but I received excellent customer service from Cabela's. I feel it's defective so I contacted Gerber and they offered replacement. 5 stars for Cabela's customer service!!!
