Gerber Bear Grylls Fire Starter Reviews:

A couple surprise inclusions

Since the two pieces fit inside each other, they are sealed from the elements, keeping them dry. Nice touch. The little compartment on the end allows for petroleum jelly on a cotton ball, magnesium shavings, or any other tinder. There's a lot of value and function in this device. It was well thought-out and works great. Throws good sparks.

Nice and handy

Great for your back pack, camping, boy scouts, and just teaching your kids there's other means of starting a fire without matches or a lighter. I like that it is waterproof, stores cotton to get the fire started, and some what compact. I bought 2 one for the bag pack and one for the camper. Great product!!

Bear Grylls Firestarter

I've had my firestarter for less than 6 month. it has not failed me once. It did take a bit of time to learn to use. After the black coating was removed the firestarter is 98% reliable!

Great Tool

I found this fire started very useful. Nice and compact and lights tinder very well. Great for a camping pack. Definitely a reliable and durable tool.
