Giro Nine.10 Ski Helmet Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

good helmet

Helmet very comfortable - I had resisted helmets until now concerned about overheating, hearing, etc. Forgot I was wearing it..the new goggles weren't working well for me though. I returned the blue helmet - matte didn't work for me and went with the dark gray glossy finish - very nice. Thought they were all the same, so tried the SEAM also by Giro, and that did not have a good fit at all - cut into cheeks!

Great choice

I have never used a ski helmet before. I was expecting this to be bulky and a bother. But I was pleasantly surprized. The fit was good and the comfort was there. Did not feel it at all. Enjoyed skiing with this addition.

top notch coconut cover

I was pleased at how easy the adjustable components work, as well as how secure my goggles remain in place while skiing or at "off the eyes" position

Great except for scratches

Color does not go all through plastic. After two months of use there are many white scratch marks.

Negative Reviews:

Giro Nine 10

I owned the predecessor to the Giro Nine 10. It was a great helmet, so I ordered the Giro 10 from the EMS website. Unfortunately, Giro attempted to save money and negated including the sliding climate control feature. When I returned the helmet to the local EMS store, the EMS employee agreed that Giro cheapened the helmet and the comparable Smith helmet is superior.
Having said that, the Giro helmets that are a step up in price include the regulator climate control system and they are excellent.

Do you like a cold head?

Vents do not close. If skiing a cold day need head cover. Pay a little more money and get the Giro helmuts that have slide on top that closes vents.
