The Giro Fuse Audio Helmet is a lightweight, high-performance helmet for riders who throw temper tantrums if they can't have it all—including comfort, peripheral vision, and their theme songs playing as they shred. The Fuse Audio's wide-angle cut creates a gapless fit with goggles and doesn't obstruct your field of vision, which is nice when you're spotting landings or hauling ass through the trees. Giro teamed up with Motorola to create this rockin' brain bucket, leaving you with DJ-quality digital audio and hands-free telephone capabilities. Bluetooth wireless speakers pop into your helmet or the included DJ headband ('cause even though you might want to, you don't ride 24/7). The TuneUps Wireless technology includes volume, track select, pause-play, and Call Connect controls, and it accepts Bluetooth-enabled cell phones, audio devices, and computers.
The Giro Fuse Wireless Audio Helmet is light and durable with progressive styling and Giro TuneUps Wireless system delivers incredible stereo sound. Developed in conjunction with Motorola, the system consists of a pair of modular speaker pods that clip into either the ear pads of your helmet or the included DJ headset. Intuitive, easy to reach controls are located on the speaker pods and are simple to use, even in gloved hands.

Great Helmet | |

Helmet was much lighter than I expected. My old Giro SST helmet feels like a brick compared to this thing. The fit of this helmet was perfect. The adjustable dial at the back allowed me to find the perfect fit for my head allowing the helmet to sit properly on my head. The adjustable vents on top is a plus. I hated having to take out the plugs from my helmet on a warm day and keeping them in my pocket because I had a high risk of loosing them. Having control over how wide open to keep the vents is great. Keep them closed on those long lift rides then open them halfway when I start burning up. The wireless headphones are great too. I have access to my phone as an mp3 player. It paired quickly with my chocolate phone. The controls are easy to use for play/pause, volume and changing songs even with gloves on. The range of the bluetooth is pretty good too. No interference or static for a good 30 feet from the source. However the one downside was the connection with the cell phone while talking, sometimes it comes in loud and clear from both ends, other times ill sound like a robot. But whose talking on their phone while bombing down a mountain anyway?? The included dj headband was a plus. It allows me to use the headphones when Im not riding. I can also connect the headphones to my computer and use it as a headset when talking over VOIP and listening to music. Not constrained by the length of wires anymore. I can roam around my house and still listen to music from my computer. Overall great helmet, great audio. Would be a 5 rating if the cell conversations were more consistent in sound and reliability. Def a steal when this thing pops up on tramdock or any of their other sites.

Solid all around helmet

| This helmet has a lot of standard features that are done well. For starters, the interior has a thin layer of removable felt material for added insulation and comfort. You can take it off with Velcro if you want to although I can't see why you would take it off... I wouldn't want the rougher interior rubbing on my head. It also has an adjustment strap that allows much better "grip" on your head. It has 5 vertical micro adjustments depending on the shape of your head and how snug you want the helmet. Mine is set and forget. The venting works pretty well. Its an easy toggle on the top of your head. It took a little getting used to so my finder (in gloves) knows where to look and which direction to push it. The vent covers the top 6 holes and not the side holes. Would be nice to also have side vents but I guess the top is most important. The earpads are supposed to be removeable and they appear to be, but I haven't figured out how to remove them... I'm worried about breaking them as its not intuitive. So far, hasn't been a need so we'll see what happens when the I really need to make it happen. The big question is the audio. I haven't had a chance to use the audio portion yet so I can't comment on that piece. | |

I was skeptical about buying this helmet, but now it is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. The helmet is light, adjustable so that you can make it smaller or larger, plus you can adjust it up or down on your forehead so that you can close the gap between the helmet and your goggles. The adjustable vents are great, and the padding and insulation keep your head nice and warm. I was also skeptical about the tune ups kit, mostly because bluetooth hasn't worked to great for me in the past, but again, it has worked much better than I expected. It's easy to connect to your phone, and the sound is clear. I bought the skullcandy bluetooth accessory for my ipod, and it works great. The best part is having the controls on the outside of the earphones. No more digging in your coat to pause, change songs, or adjust the volume, you can do it all from the controls on the earphones. This helmet rocks, you'll be seeing me wearing this thing year round....

I really like this helmet. I must say that I wish the ear pads were a little bit thicker to help keep my ears warm and block the wind. The fact that you can adjust the vents without having to take the helmet off is one of my favorite features. This helmet has already saved my skull numerous times. The only downside is that I not go bigger and faster as I know my noggin has an extra layer of protection. Call quality is about a 3.5 out of 5. I never have dropped a call however, it crackles every now and then. Audio is great except for the fact that the BT dongle for my iPod drains the iPod batter in a day instead of it lasting almost a week. Thank god for wall/car/USB chargers.

Great Helemt,audio quality could improve

| Helemt is great, and I had very little problems getting it setup to use with my iphone. Everything works, except you can't skip audio tracks. The only negatives are that it doesn't get super loud and the audio quality is only so-so. Nowhere close to my Bose headphones but better than the stock iphone ones. Other than that, I love the convenience and can't wait to get out and use on the slopes. | |

The helmet itself is typical Giro which is to say very good assuming the fit works for you. The Bluetooth function works well with my Blackberry phone functions, no issues to date. Have not tried the media player but my friend has the same helmet and uses the Blackberry media player with the Bluetooth in the helmet just fine.

Love this helmet. The audio is decent and the helmet protects you from the dents and dings while tree skiing. The adjustable ventilation is the best I've had.
