I LOVE this helmet! | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I ski professionally as a mountain guide, and LOVE this helmet. Giro has made great improvements in fit with the new adjusting system. I love the quick vent openings, so I don't get overheated. Great visibility, and good fit with goggles which stay secure. I like the fact that this helmet fits a bit lower profile than the Fuse, which I had previously. I don't feel like I look so much like a "bobble head." I went with the more feminine look of the women's model, with just a little pink, and a nice pinkish, pearly sheen. I liked the flat white, too, which may be more versatile. But, I have to admit, it's nice to look like a girl when you're skiing with all the guys. | |

So Comfortable | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I tried on several helmets and this one was by far the most comfortable. I personally don't care about the extra features but the helmet is feature rich with it's easy switch ventilation and it's audio compatability. I bought the Giro helmet in Matte Pewter color. I think the color is a very neutral color - feminine enough for a girl and masculine enough for a guy. My only complaint is that the strap doesn't tighten quite as much as I would like, but I can tighten it a little further by extending the material that the strap is attached to a little past the clip. Normally, it takes me forever to decide on the perfect product, but this purchase was a no-brainer! | |

We love our Giro G10 helmet!

Tramdock's customer service is outstanding! They went above & beyond to overnight my helmet to me in time for a February ski trip after all stores in MA & New Hampshire were sold out! I called everywhere possible, and all told me they could not keep it in stock since it's one of the best helmets out there. The Giro G10 is perfect in every way; it's safe, comfortable, warm, and stylish. The pewter color is gorgeous! Sepia is also a great color, especially if you have a brown snow suit. My husband has the black and loves his too! It was an easy decision for us.

Awesome, Awesome Helmet.

I got this helmet two seasons ago. All helmets save lives this one included. I am reckless and often ski on the edge of control. Trust me when I say This helmet can take many big falls and come out unscathed. The helmet is light, warm and, comfortable. I wear it all day without getting too hot or cold. It fits wonderfully with my A-Frames, little to no gap, and preforms. The best helmet I have worn to date. (This is my 4th helmet.) Simply put, a helmet is a key piece of ski gear for the reckless and the Giro G10 is a prime choice.

GREAT HELMET!! | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I extensively researched helmets and tried on a good number of them, including the G9, Fuse, Omen, Smith and Protec models. This model had by far the best fit (low profile) and easiest adjustment system. I bought one with the Motorola wireless system and it works AWESOME!! I was simply hoping for respectable music quality, but got much more. No issues with BT connectivity and the ability to switch to phone from music via the earpieces while on the slopes or the chair was fantastic. Microphone worked fine for outgoing calls as well! I would HIGHLY recommend this helmet. | |

Solid brain bucket. | |

A solid, well-made helmet from Giro. Pretty comfortable, adjustable fit, adjustable venting. I added a wired Tune-Ups kit for audio; works great. Seems like it will do a good job protecting my skull from rogue snowboarders or my own stupidity. If you're questionable about size, order up. You can adjust the size down quite a bit. I was on the border of XL/XXL and got an XL (XXL was out of stock...) It fits me pretty well, but I have to have the adjustment all the way out and it's still a little tight sometimes in the back.

Cool - Literally | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
I usually get very hot when skiing, and perspire a lot. I was therefore a bit apprehensive about wearing a helmet - any helmet. The venting on this G10 works very well. Unless it is very cold or snowing heavily, I ski with the vents open all the time. (In seriously cold weather you could wear a thin beanie under the helmet). This is a very comfortable helmet and I do not even know it is there. No problem either using Smith Fuse goggles with the helmet. I would recommend this helmet to a friend!

Does the trick! | |

Just boarded in blizzard conditions and it kept me cozy with or without my pull-over face mask, and when doing back flips into deep poweder. When the Sun came out I was able to adjust the vents with my gloves on. Skull fit was good with the dial-in adjustment and it had a tight fit with my Goggles of another brand. My only issue is with the fit system and my glasses. It is hard to get the glasses back in after removing them (to defog) because clamping assembly grabs my head that low.

I'm on my second one | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
I rode the G10 for about 3 seasons and then hit my head pretty good one day. There were no visible cracks, but I figured it was time for a replacement. The new version comes with a retention system just like the Giro bike helmets, so the fit is even better with the new lid. The venting system rocks, keep it closed up on cold days or cold mornings, then open it up on the fly as the temp increases or as you start lapping the park, trees, or bumps. Good style too.

Great Fit, Good Buy | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| My husband bought this helmet for my birthday. It's fabulous!! I haven't been able to test it out on the slopes, due to the lack of snow, but that will change very soon. I love the fact that it's lighter and more comfortable than my mountain biking helmet - which is also a Giro and pretty lightweight and comfy itself. The closable air vents are great for spring skiing, and the ability to dial in the fit is awesome. I believe that I will feel very well-protected and comfortable in this helmet. | |

LET DOWN AGAIN by GIRO | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
If this had not happened to me on another GIRO product, then I would have given this helmet such a LOW rating. The forward anchors for the fit adjustment system have consistantly (3rd GIRO helmet)broken loose from the foam they are in above the temple. Otherwise the helmet is great. Just not a favorite of mine.

| Needed a medium, but ordered a large because that's all there was in the color I wanted. Thought that I'd give it a shot. Great helmet, but too big. Back it goes. Hopefully the medium will show up again. | |

Good and bad on this product
| Rating: | ![]() |
Didn't quite fit me right even though I have other Giro helmets in this size. Too low across the forehead. Also, it had an extensive liner that I really didn't need (I have lots of hair). The way that the liner covered up the vents ... not sure that the venting would work right. Opening and closing vents did not work well. But, it is very very light ... a good thing. I kept the Omen instead.

I ordered the Cranberry/White (W's) helmet, and admit I ordered a L when I should have gotten a M... But it is just a big helmet with a large profile. I ended up going with a Giro Ember (women's) and it's much more sleek and also has soft and fuzzy ear pads and chin strap!

ok helmet but vents at the rear have no diffuser allowing wind to directly access the back of the head ... very uncomfortable in windy conditions. At this price we shouldn't have to use foam and tape to make adjustments to make the gear work well.
