Go-Light Gobee Stanchion Mount Light Reviews:

Good Product

I was a little worried about the product initially due to some of the past reviews. I use it on a 16' Lund classic with factory installed running light wiring. The only thing I changed was the the fuse size from 5 amp to 10 amp because I did not have a 7 amp fuse handy as recommended. Worked fine on initial test and two outings night fishing.
The only negitive so far which prevented a 5 star rating is the remote control every now and then has a problem turning the light on. Left, right, up, down works fine, but sometimes you have to hit the on button numerous times to get it to come on ? Other then that I am very happy with the product. Makes night time docking and launching so much easier. Wish it had a manual on off just in case the remote totally fails.

Works well

Worked right out of the box. Picked it up in the afternoon and used it to night fish that night on my 18 foot CC in Fisher's Island Sound. I did my homework on my existing wiring before purchasing. Wiring gauge was good, but knew that my 5 Amp breaker could be an issue. It did pop my 5 Amp breaker as I was using the remote to change direction of light. Reset breaker and worked fine so long as I didn't play with direction of light. Instructions say you need 5.5 to 6 Amps. I plan to change my breaker to 7 Amp so I won't pop my 5 Amp breaker. Way better than having to install new wiring.

Good but not great

It does the job. I expected it to be a little brighter than it is but is certainly better than trying to hold a spotlight while driving. it worked right out of the box for me. No problems with wiring or fuses. Some people commented on the shaft not being strong enough but I didn't notice any problems. It doesn't throw out a beam past 40 -50 feet I'd say. It isn't like a car headlight but if you have reasonable expectations you shouldn't be disappointed.

good light for the money

substantial size & good beam of light. Only thing I can think of to make it better would be a more substantial shaft.
