Go Rhino Dominator Iii Side Steps - Stainless Steel Review:

Dog inator #3

Let me preface my remarks on the fact that I've 20 plus years in metal fabrication and machine shops.
I've seen better welds from newbies, and the positioning of the threaded inserts to secure the treads is horrible. Rhino has no quality control or this poor piece of metal would not have left the assembly line. The ends of very thin wall s/s pipe were oblong so provided plastic caps did not fit well. I made adjustments to round out the ends so caps fit. I thought the finish was polished stainless but they say to use a good carnuba wax several times a years to keep the matal from RUSTING????
On a positive note: I've gotten many compliments on the overall look to the truck. It feels firm when steping on any of the three steps even the unsupported bed step. I will keep the Dog-inator because of the general looks and few people in this area have this type of side step, and over the winter redo the welds.
