Goal Zero Escape 30 Solar Panel Review:

Reviews:

Great for Car Camping

I paired the Escape 150 Power Pack with the Escape 30 Solar Briefcase and a pair of O2 Cool Portable Tent Fans to keep my boys and me cool during a Cub Scout camp in sweltering central Alabama. I was careful not to draw any power until we settled-in for the evening at ~2100 hours. Those two fans kept spinning (and my iPhone kept charging) until 0620. I was happy with little more than 8-hours of power. The solar briefcase worked great! The Escape 150 was a little finicky, but the solar briefcase was outstanding. We were fairly remote, so all cell phones kept draining as they were searching for signal... but my friends and I were able to plug-in when we got low on power. That was nice. I also got a bunch of questions from other adults when they saw the solar panel briefcase... and my friends overheard other folks talking about "some guy who brought a solar power set-up." I thought that was pretty neat. All-told, I'm happy. I just wish Goal Zero would provide a little more information with/about their products.
