the light you didn't know you would want

I bought this like other reviewers as an impulse buy. I have used it on trips as well as at home for a while now, and I have to say its great. the amount of light it puts out it perfect in my opinion. it's bright enough to use near the campfire prepping food or anything else you are doing near the tent. works great in a tent or bedroom as a night light ( I have been using my computer or the goal zero battery pack). with being so thin, I had thought it might not be durable enough for a long trip but it held up better than other cheap lanterns I've used. it's lightweight, slim, and barely uses any power with the LEDs . I wasn't expecting much out of something that was just a last minute buy, but I'm pleasantly surprised I was wrong.

Bright and idiot proof

I bought this as an "impulse buy" at the Perimeter Center REI Saturday 3 March to use with my laptop with no intention of taking it "outdoors". Since then it's been a hotel night light, light in the car, laptop keyboard light, and a "stealth light" at work (turn off my office light and still see what I'm doing).
Plug it in to any powered USB port and it lights up. It's that simple.
The neck is flexible metal tubing with enough rigidity to stay where you put it. If you have a 110v (2 prong) wall socket to USB adapter (like those used with smart phones and tablets) you can plug it right into the wall/power strip/etc). I guess I'm going to have to get the battery pack for it. If it's this handy at home it's bound to be useful camping.

Very bright and flexible

Very pleased. Bought a second one after seeing the first. One for GoalZero Adventure camping and motorcycle kit and one for my laptop.
