Great Jacket, SUPER lightweight and warm

I am a very cold person. I get cold easily, and this jacket, along with a decent baselayer, keeps me very very toasty. I wear it around all the time now. It is my first down jacket, and has replaced my other much heavier "fashion" coats that were definately not nearly as warm.It comes with a stuff bag that is pretty handy for taking your jacket on trips, and is so light that its ideal for this. The quality is great. But like the other posters have mentioned, the zipper takes a bit getting used to, but after a few tries you get the hang of it.And I absolutely love the criss cross stitching.

This is a great mid-layer down coat.

This is technically a layering piece, but I have used it in temps around 15-20 degrees and been fine without any additional insulation. I can speak to the quality of GoLite because I have a lot of their stuff. The review below mentioned that they had trouble with the waist drawstring, Let GoLite know! they have good customer service and will definitely fix the problem. This jacket is light and super compressible but stiff well made. Its my emergency puffy for cold belay stations and piece of mind if I have to bivy for a night.

Very Warm, Very Fashionable

Pros:Great slim fit (5'10" 150 size small)Very warmLightweightI've gotten many compliments on how it looks when wearing around town.Cons:By third wear, never washed, small amounts of down were poking out at almost every seam.Cuffs are small. Tough to fit over my watch.Zipper sometimes sticks and sometimes spontaneously opens up from the bottom while wearing it.I really love it. I was disappointed we had such a warm winter I didn't get to wear it enough!

Negative Reviews:

The jacket is warm...but if you can't zip it or cinch the waistband what the hell good is it?

I bought this jacket six weeks ago at a local shop (11/2010). It has kept me warm to about 15 degrees. Very light. The drawback is with the components on the jacket. First, the zipper is difficult get started (definitely a problem when wearing gloves). You have to jiggle it to get it locked in to zip. Second, the drawstring in the waist simply pulled right out of the hem rendering it useless.PROS: Very LightweightPackableWarmCONS: ZipperDrawstring Waist
