Sick jacket, stupid lite, though maybe not 100% waterproof...

This is a great jacket with a great cut (6'0, 180 lbs, I got a large). It has room for a heavy layer fleece underneath but still remains fairly streamlined looking. The length is perfect for me. There are large interior mesh pockets integrated into the exterior pockets and an audio port for a headphone cord that allows access to the interior in one pocket. Well thought out and perfectly minimal. I love the hood! It has a simple rear velcro flap that allows adjustment for heavier rain but is fine as is for lighter rain. GoLite has the market on simple, effective, pragmatic design with the pinch point cinch for the elastic hood cord that runs the perimeter of the face. Rubber tabs and velcro allow wrist adjustments and look gnarly.

Take this jacket from me and I'll hunt you down...

My favorite wind/rain jacket. Yeah, it doesnt have a waist cinch, and it would be nice to have, but it is not designed for fat folks so there isnt much/any extra fabric that needs to be gathered together at the waist. The main benefits are lite weight, good construction, and lite weight.

Good jacket for price | |

New models have improved zipper. No waist cord, though one could be easily installed. The three layer fabric is relatively waterproof and wind proof, though I think it would wet out after a few minutes of hard rain. Very stretchy. Very compressible. Windproof up to around 40-35 mph winds. Covers most of your ass when cycling. Great for price.

GoLite Gamut: awesome jacket

Bought this jacket for my husband- he's 6'3", about 180 lbs- thin frame. Size Large fits him well. Beware- this jacket is slim fitting, so probably go up a size if you have broader shoulders. Very lightweight and not cumbersome. Good rain-proof jacket- looks great on him too. Got it on sale for $45- a steal!!

Great Jacket | |

This jacket is great. The trinity is super water proof. It has been in the rain and tested in the shower and it hasn't leaked at all. The stretch is really nice, the jacket is comfy. Great for skiing. Anyway, you should check it out.

| This jacket is for 3 season jacket. Well made waterproof and unique stretchy fabric. The size is right. My husband is 6' and 190 lb, and I got XL for him. He still could wear a layer under it. | |

Good For Light Weather Only
| Rating: | ![]() |
Bought this in SAC a couple of months back, but have not used it in real weather until this past weekend. The jacket seems to be good for keeping yourself insulated from quick and light rain showers. However, after about 20min of sustained rain, even light rain, it will soak through. If you are hiking, expect a sauna inside the jacket as well. Good for throwing in the bag when you expect little/no weather as it is lightweight and easy to pack. But if you are going out expecting the weather to challenge a bit, bring something else.
