When ultralight Wisp HP fabric and 800-fill power down pushed the Men's Inferno Insulated Jacket into ethereal weight ranges, it had to be GoLite. Only those gram-skimping gurus could create a jacket that's so light, yet so warm, it seems impossible. The Inferno's 15 denier micro-polyester Wisp HP shell has a DWR coating to shed light rain and keep the premium down lofty, while elastic wrists and hem block drafts. Two fleece-lined pockets hold your hands, maybe some keys or an energy bar, and that's about it—but for a jacket tipping the scales at just 15 ounces, that's pretty awesome.

An 800 fill down puffy with an outstanding warmth to weight ratio, this jacket features 40 denier 100% recycled polyester outer shell with DWR and 100% polyester embossed liner.

Incredibly warm and packs up small

| This jacket is well-built with an eye toward weight and compressibility. It weighs under a pound and compresses to fit easily in a 4L stuff sack (purchased separately, size Med jacket). It fits well and is nicely cut, and since it's so compressible, it moves easily and never feels bulky. The material feels pretty light, but it seems to stand up well. I just don't think I'd hike through underbrush with it. The only downside I've noticed is that I miss having a chest pocket for little things. | |

| for 20 years i have worn the same down jacket because i was unable to find one i liked as much. when i tried on the inferno, it was a revelation! light, super warm and great design. soft at the cuffs (which adjust!) and neck. great color. my only complaint is that there is no cover over the zipper and the wind gets in just a little. otherwise, a new 20 year jacket. thanks go lite! | |

Perfect | |

| In keeping with their tradition, Golite has created the perfect layer of warm. Instant heat envelopes your upper body as soon as it is zipped. I have let two people try it on, both said they had never had a jacket feel so good. Any exertion will make you too hot, so pack\save it for the "down" times. Feels more like a skin due to the shear lightness...even at XXL size. | |

Well made jacket... | |

| GoLite's products are exceptionally well made. I have been a fan since their start up. The jacket is a loose fit to be worn as an outer layer (not a marshmallow man). The fleece cuffs, neck and pockets are a nice touch. The stitching is well done with no loose threads. There is a baffle on the inside of the zipper to block the wind. One of their best products... | |

Cheaper and Better in other Brands

| A good jacket but you could buy it for a lesser price and get a chest and internal pocket plus the external material would be Far Sturdier. A nice jacket if the price was about $60. Rated low because you could get a product with more advantages and save yourself a good $30. | |
