| I haven't had the chance to wear it hiking, so I'm not sure about breathability yet. I have worn it in downpours and it is very waterproof and dries quickly. I am very small and have a really hard time finding a good fitting jacket and this XS is perfect in that regard. I thought the inside coating would feel slick against bare skin, the way so many waterproof jacket do, but so far so good. The hood is nice and not floppy. I think the only thing I would say is that the pit zips are a bit strange. Rather than zipping all the way down, they unzip half-way to a little below the armpit (the rest of the ventilation comes from the pocket zippers). I will be interested to see whether that becomes irritating when hiking. And all the zippers are tight. I am very, very picky, but all in all I think this is just what I was looking for- good fit, very lightweight, very well made. |

| I wear it when riding my bike (which is every day). The hot pink color stands out well on the road. When I get off the bike,I fold it up very small and stick it inside my helmet, along with my gloves, to carry. When the temperature drops, I will wear another layer, such as a fleece sweater, underneath it. It should serve me well most of the winter. The zipper is difficult sometimes, especially towards the neck, because the very thinness of the material makes it easy to be caught in the zipper thread. Otherwise, it is a pleasure to wear it. |

| after searching far and wide for a waterproof that met all my desires (and not finding one), i did decide on the golite phantom. it doesnt have a small front pocket, an inside pocket, wasnt avaiable in fabulous colors, but I must say it does its job well. i am very happy with the purchase after all, it has kept me totally dry and protects from the chill of wind very well; the fit is not bad, it is not restricting in any way and was well designed with a range of outdoor activities in mind. all without being baggy. |

| One of my best purchases yet. I have never owned a jacket that is this light. It is the perfect hiking companion. The pit zips are great when the weather gets really hot and you are stuck hiking in the rain. The jacket also is not stiff as some waterproof ones can be. I would have liked to have more pockets, but I would have bought it regardless. I know I will get a lot of use out of it and will always carry in my backpack. |

| I am a wilderness guide and love the light weight, the simplicity, the ventilation when needed, and mostly- its a raincoat and it does what a raincoat is supposed to do. It keeps me very dry. Water beads up and runs off no probs. No complaints here folks. Golite hasn't let me down yet. |

Love my new jacket |

| I wanted a lightweight, waterproof jacket that I could put in my pack in case of cold wind or rain. This jacket fits the bill perfectly, plus I think it's very nice looking. I think it will also make a great cross-country ski jacket. |

Just what I wanted! |

| I wanted a very lightweight breathable rain jacket that looked good. This one does. But I had to return the first one - it seemed to run small. The zippers don't glide easily -- my only complaint. Otherwise, just what I wanted. |

| I've used this jacket while running in wind driven rain and stayed dry and comfortable. The sleeves have very long pit zips that allow for ample ventilation. It is light weight. Perfect for high energy sports in wet conditions. |

A good shell |

| Great in the rain. Keeps you dry but is not clammy and hot inside. Be careful not to rip it, cause the material is really thin. |

Great jacket for running |

| Great fit and looks good. It's comfortable and waterproof too! It does make those swishing noises when you run. Pockets don't really lend themselves hand warming. |
