The comPACKtor system makes your GoLite pack far more versatile by enabling you to reduce your pack's volume through the use of two fixed compression anchor clips. How to use: with the pack empty, simply connect the two fixed compression anchor clips. Instantly, your pack volume and profile is smaller for shorter duration trips

GoLite trimmed everything from the Women’s Pinnacle Pack to shave weight under the two-pound mark while still keeping the minimal essentials. A large front pocket takes place of the lid pocket, and the lid—gone. GoLite added two side pockets to provide a place to stash gloves, snacks, and other small necessities. Dyneema fabric handles an impressive amount of abuse both on the trail and in the mountains, and dual ice axe loops make this pack winter ready.

I love this pack-- I have the '08 model and it is super light but still includes everything I need. I am slightly bothered that GoLite put a bunch of bells and whistles in for the '09 year which bumped the weight up 8 ounces, but it's still well below the weight of most packs. | |

| I ended up returning this pack because it uses a flexible back pad, while I prefer something sturdier. The hip straps are not rigid, and the top does not afford much protection from the rain (I couldn't tell this from the picture), unlike the GoLite Quest, which has a top cover. Ultra-light backpackers may prefer this pack, but for my needs, I prefer the slightly heavier Quest. | |
