The synthetic-insulated GoLite Salsa Jacket offers more than mild warmth as a winter camping mid-layer. Thermolite Active insulation is lightweight, compressible, and super toasty. It also insulates when wet, which is good news when your snow cave collapses. The Salsa’s recycled polyester shell does the environment a kind dead, and the semi-fitted cut reduces bulk beneath your hardshell on those bitterly cold ski days.

| My experience with this jacket is very different than the other reviewer. More like a double sweatshirt than a t-shirt for warmth and I found it resits a light rain. I dragged this jacket (attached to a pack) through narrow slot canyons against rock walls. I wouldn't recommend this but I didn't have a any rips or other breaks. | |

| Snagged this off SAC for dirt cheap. Very nice jacket, very warm. The only thing that worries me is the shell fabric a bit delicate. Lighter and better than any other synthetic jacket out there though! | |

| Very light weight and made for mild days. About the heat retention of a heavy T-shirt. Outside material is very thin. Makes one wary about wearing it in the brush or around rocks for fear it may rip. All zippers are extremely small and delicate. They operate very roughly and sometime require both hands to open and close. | |
