A great jacket for the right person
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I read the earlier comments about this jacket before ordering, and I decided to order it because even though it fit "strange" for others (longer sleeves, smaller around the midsection and a little bigger on top), one comment said it would be great for tall, slender people. Since that is my description, I ordered it and it is great.- nice longer sleeve length, which is sometimes hard to find --great wind and water resistent, fantastically made. A very nice jacket for all around and running errands, as well as winter sports. It is not insulated or warm like a down jacket, but it is light weight and breathable - and the weather resistant factor keeps you warm if you are active. | |

hooded soft shell | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| This soft shell feels a bit heavy out of the box. It has a thin fuzzy lining. I love the hood, but I sometimes feel that when the hood is down the zipper is up against my throat. So far I have used it for skate skiing in below 20s weather and downhill skiing. I'm trying to figure out how to layer it - I have gotten cold in it a couple of times when not active (tubing and sledding). It is a good layer and I am going to use it a lot. | |

One Great coat | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Im about 5'9" with about a 30" waist and this jacket fits me perfectly. Other people commented about the chest area being to big but it is perfect for me. I love this jacket, it is well made and all stitching is reinforced. The only improvement I would make was to add windstopper fleece in the hand warmer pockets. Im pickey and I love this jacket. | |

Other Reviewers Are Right...

| ...the fit sure is strange, but I like the jacket anyway. The arms are designed for someone with enormous biceps, a decently-sized chest, and small hips. I'd say it would be great for layering, but the bottom fits so snugly already, even around my relatively small hips. I bought the wild berry color and love it. The softshell fabric is fantastic. Very smooth and soft. | |

wet weather gear | |

| Great looking and styled jacket. Perfect when I run out the door at 7 a.m. with the dogs and its raining, not quite cold yet and not quite warm. Was only looking for that, but can see that I'll wear this jacket in snowy weather as well and could use it cross country skiing. | |

Love this jacket | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I love this jacket. Virtually windproof, but if you get overheated, the underarm zippers are great. I read the reviews about the top being too big and the bottom too snug. Not for me, I have a boyish figure. It fits perfectly. Purple color is great, too. | |

Perfect for me | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I am long waisted, 5'4", 130 lbs, and I ordered a medium and it fits great. I like the way it fits close to my hips, but I still have a couple inches to tighten it up for spring skiing. | |

| I love golite products in general, and this has zip pits and a hood. It is perfect for cold days with sun shinning. | |

Tape on seams fell off with one washing.
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I gave this garment as a gift to someone with high hopes for it. I was shocked and appalled to see all the internal tape on the seams pop off after one washing. What the heck? They had to cut off all the dangling tape with a scissor in order to make it wearable. Real hi-tech. How embarrassing, I only pray that the rest of it does not fall apart. No good deed goes unpunished. Were in not for the fact that it now resides overseas, I would have returned it. You think it should have stood up to more than that after costing more than[$] For shame and steer clear of this dreck. | |

Tight armholes. Had to return
| Rating: | ![]() |
| This is a beautifully made, high quality jacket but the fit was odd--very tight in the armholes. I am 5'9" 122 lbs with slender long arms. If this jacket doesn't fit me I can't imagine how it could fit anyone of "average" weight and size. Every other part of the jacket fit perfectly; sleeve length, bottom (around upper hip) chest and neck. It seems as though there was a major error in cutting the patterns for this jacket. Too bad because I loved it and hated having to return it. | |

Looks like a million bucks!!
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Jacket runs a bit small so I returned the small for a medium which is perfect. I'm sure it will be very functional while also having a very stylish fit. I can't believe the bargain price. It looks like a $400 jacket. I will mainly use it for skiing so won't be able to try it out this year. It will also be good for other uses - hiking on a cool morning or just out and about running errands on a chilly or windy day. | |

great softshell material if it only fit
| Rating: | ![]() |
| The material for this shell appeared duarable, stretched well, and was resistant to wind and the elements. The problem was the fit! The collar was too small/tight and the hood could not fit over your head and or helmet. The bottom of the shell was too tight and restricted movement. They got the shell material right but the fit needs to be worked on. Regretably we had to return the item. | |

strange fit | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| This product was very cute and reasonable looking in the catalog. I got it and the hips and neck we're too tight. I've been known for my small hips especially after two kids. I am normally a small or medium. I ordered medium, so I could layer. Had to send it back at a cost to me, real bummer. | |

odd fit | |

| A pretty jacket, but the fit was odd. Too odd to keep, so I can't comment on its warmth or weather resistance. Disappointing. | |

Great jacket, poor fit | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Everything about the jacket is great except for the fit. I read a previous comment about the jacket being too small so I bought a size larger. The chest area was then too large, but the hip area was still too small. I am an average size 10 on top and bottom. But this jacket seems to be designed for tall thin women with no hips. I desperately wish that this was designed for my body because the jacket is fabulous!!!! | |
