Pretty darn good

I took this tarp w/nest for 28 days on the AT. I cut and tied extra lengths of parachute rope to stake it higher under certain conditions. It does a prettydarn good job of withstanding wind and pounding heavy rain for a thin single wall. It may be easier to set up with the plain floor which I will get if I can find one. Hung the nest by itself on the inside of trail shelters to fend off bugs and keep mice out of my hair. Tarp by itself has enough room to sleep 2 in a pinch and a vestible to boot! I like it.

Light and Easy

Roomy inside, and compact when stowed. Takes a small amount of practice, inserting trekking poles and then driving in stakes. Poles are held in place solidly; it would be difficult to accidently knock over from the inside in the middle of the night. All six stakes are needed, but once in place the door can be opened or closed and shelter remains solid. Tarp was the envy of my tent-lugging companions.

lightweight luxury

I fell in love with this tarp/tent the moment I saw it. The thing just makes sense. Weighs very little, offers plenty of protection, and utilizes equipment I already pack in. I was surprized by the amount of room inside.
