An innovative, ultra-lite 4-season pyramid-style backcountry shelter that delivers serious weather protection and unparalleled space-to-weight ratio with superb durability. Pitch this ultra-lite design with your trekking poles, over paddles or ski poles, or hang it from branches via its top loops. The Shangri-La 2 can be used by itself, with the Shangri-La 2 Floor, or with the Shangri-La 2 Nest inner bug tent. The reflective stake out loops keep you from tripping in the middle of the night and the hydrophilic thread at the seams expand when wet—sealing the seams and eliminating the need for liquid sealant.
At 49 sq ft the GoLite Shangri-La 2 Shelter is large than most 3 person tents. Two pitch points inside the shelter allow you to set the tent up with your two handy trekking poles or you can find some sticks that will work. An optional nest and floor will provide even more protection from the elements or bugs if the conditions warrant.

Great shelter! | |

| I have this one, and the 6-8 person one also. They are both fantastic tents. I beat the crap out of my gear and both are holding up well. Zippers are top notch, and the end guyouts are adjustable with gloves on. Digging out under these in the winter makes them worth EVERY DOLLAR. They are great all around shelters. The green is warm in winter, but dark. I had a MSR trekker tarp, and this is similar, and has the peak vents that the trekker tarp sorely missed. | |
