Gore Contest 2.0 Windstopper

I bought the XXL which is two sizes bigger than what I usually buy. These jackets tend to run small since you are looking for a snug fit.

Comfy and made for the weather

Use this as an outer layer once the weather gets a bit cool for just a jersey. Great for keeping the water off and the wind out.

nice windbreaker, great fit

product fits well, and is just what I hoped it would be.

Negative Reviews:

Poor Design

I am 6ft 4in tall and 185lbs. I ordered an XXL after referring to the size chart. The arm length is correct, plenty of length for bent arms with no exposed wrists. The shoulders fit as they should. The body length is correct. What I'll do with the extra material around the waist I don't know. Anyone who is my height but heavier may need the larger waist but will find the shoulders and back too small.
In addition the jacket not having a double zipper is going to be a problem. Anytime the jacket is not zipped up to the neck it will fill up like a parachute. Every road biking jacket should have a double zipper. I thought Gore would do a better job. I'll return it because headwinds are tough enough without a billowing jacket.

Neutral Reviews:

Nice material and design but fitment off

Had to return this item. Too tight in the shoulder and chest. Arms not long enough. Form-fitting is one thing but with a shell, I want to be able to wear base layers.

runs small

Very nice, thin shell but the sizing is way off! I usually wear Large but think would need at least XL or even XXL.
