Protection from the wind and water in a close-fitting, stretchy outer-shell is exactly what you receive with the new Power 2.0 SO Jacket from Gore Bike Wear. The Power was constructed using the proven WindStopper fabric, and it also incorporates a host of features designed to keep you warm, dry, and comfortable out there on your two-wheeled machine.
Similar to other protective outerwear layers in Gore's Power line, the Power 2.0 SO jacket was constructed using Gore's patented WindStopper Soft Shell fabric. This is essentially a fleece-lined, membrane-backed stretchy material that moves with you while riding. The characteristics of this fabric are ideal for exercising in cool and cold weather, as Soft Shell provides a light, flexible layer of insulation, yet it also blocks the wind and rain with its inner-membrane. WindStopper provides the comfort of a mid-layer and the water-resistance of a shell all in one. Additionally, this material's composition breathes incredibly well, which allows moisture to escape from within, rather than collecting inside and chilling your body like other membrane layers. This means that your body remains warm, dry, and comfortable during all of your rides.
Gore Bike Wear describes the fit of the Power 2.0 SO as "slim," which means that it stays close to the body without being constricting. The elbows are pre-shaped so that they don't tug at the underarms when you reach for the handlebars. Again, Gore Bike Wear took a minimalist approach when designing the Power 2.0 SO jacket, so there are only three pockets on the lower back panel. There's also a fourth zippered pocket that houses a detachable storage bag (LOKSAK) for sealing off your electronic devices from the elements. The cuffs are adjustable, the tall collar is fleece-lined, and there's a partially elasticized hem. Gore finished off the jacket with reflective elements on the front, sides, and back of the jacket.
The Gore Bike Wear Power 2.0 SO Jacket is available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the colors Black/red, Neon Yellow/black, and Splash Blue/red.
