Gore Bike Wear wasn't kidding around when it was naming the Universal Arm Warmers. In fact, these warmers are so versatile that you'll find yourself wearing them in a wider range of temperatures than you might expect.
For the construction of the Universal arm warmers, Gore used a proprietary 85/15 mix of nylon and elastane. As a result, you'll find that the fabric produces a heightened wicking ability, without sacrificing anything in either the warmth or stretch departments. So, while the nylon dries quickly and wicks moisture, the elastane fibers provide a four-way stretch. Ultimately, this system provides comfort in every sense of the word.
To live up to its name, Gore designed the Universal warmers to provide protection in both hot and cold conditions. On cool days, the extra layer keeps your core temperature up by reducing heat loss at the extremities. On warm days, both the Neon Yellow and the White arm warmers will reflect the sun's radiant energy, keeping you cool. Gore also incorporated reflective materials throughout the arm warmers in order to increase your visibility to motorists in low-light conditions.
Additionally, a next-to-skin fit and gripper elastic at the upper-arm keep these arm warmers from moving around, even as you shift your hand positions over the course of a ride.
The Gore Bike Wear Path Universal Arm Warmers are available in five sizes from X-small to X-Large and in the colors White, Neon Yellow, and Black.
