Neither wind nor sleet nor hail will stop you from cycling. So you need the bombproof protection from the elements that the GORE Bike Wear Women's Power Jacket provides. This waterproof breathable, windproof GORE Bike Wear jacket has a high collar and long tail to give you as much coverage as possible. Hook-and-loop fasteners on the collar lets you attach a hood (sold separately) for really nasty days. The hem and cuffs adjust for just the right fit, and reflective piping helps make you visible to vehicles in stormy, low-light conditions. When the weather clears, pack the super lightweight Gore-Tex Paclite Power Jacket into its back pocket for easy carrying.

Great shell | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
I needed a lighter weight jacket for cycling in cooler temps to use as a shell since my regular rain jacket was too bulky (and dark) while riding. I got this one in the light red color (beautiful and bright, but not fluorescent) and I love it so far. Went for a ride today under cloudy skies that turned to a light rain, but I shrugged it off and kept riding with this to keep me dry and cut the cool wind. Very versatile and light, packs easily and works well as an outer shell with layers when the temp starts to dip.

Use it as my windbreaker

Great fabric -- I use it as my windbreaker, and when the rain & drizzle starts (like all the time here in Seattle), I'm already prepared and stay dry. This jacket is extremely breathable, yet completely waterproof and windproof. It's light and quiet as well. Runs true to size with a flattering trim fit, but it's not cut too small -- allows movement in all directions on my bike. I wear it EVERY outing and am ordering a second one to use at my other home in Idaho. That's how much I like it.

Still deciding | |

I have not yet ridden in this exact jacket yet, but I decided to get it because I wore another GORE bike wear jacket that a friend let me borrow on a long ride in 40 degree rainy weather. I stayed really dry and comfy the whole time. This jacket is lighter weight than I expected, which could be great for packing, but may require lots of baselayers for really cold temps. It is 100% waterproof though.. I ran it under water in the sink for several minutes and NO water seeped through!!

love it | |

Fantastic jacket - super lightweight, wind-proof and water-proof. I bought the lemon color as I wear it cycling to work, and it provides great visibility in low light conditions. The sizing is good and I love the fitted style that still allows a comfortable range of movement. The high collar with soft fabric lining keeps you snug and warm around your neck - no nasty draughts. Very comfortable,a joy to wear!

worth the price | |

I also chose the lemon color for visability. Wore it for pre-race set-up at the Lake George triathlon and it kept me warm and dry in the early morning rain with plenty of room to comfortably move around. Also wore it for an afternoon ride around the lake on my husband's Harley and it proved a lightweight, super windbreaker. I highly recommend it!

NO HOOD! | |

The jacket does not come with a hood. It is "sold separately", but BackCountry does not stock the much needed hood to keep your head dry in the rain while wearing this RAIN jacket.
