Fumbling with the controls when your hands are frozen—or when you're wearing men's gloves that have shorter fingers and don't fit anywhere else—is no fun. The Gore Bike Wear Power SO Women's Glove is designed to fit a woman's hand, and features Gore Windstopper with a thermal lining.
I've been looking for gloves with long enough fingers for about a year. These are by far the best I have found. They keep my hands warm overall, but still get a little chilly on a downhill at 30 degrees. The one thing I really dislike is that there is no Velcro at the wrist. I had to get a M to fit my fingers, and the cuff is about 2" too wide around. A Velcro closure would let me tighten it up. However, I just slip the cuffs under my jacket and that works okay.
Lightweight, warm when they need to be, and quite breathable when you're going hard. I bought the men's version first, then bought my wife a pair. Great for everything outside, including XC skiing and running.
