The comfort of a soft mid-layer and the water resistance of a shell combined with total windproofness and maximum breathability. WINDSTOPPER Soft Shells keep you comfortable with the freedom of movement you need for enhanced performance in a wide range of activities and weather conditions.

Cold legs can get red and itchy during chilly bike rides. When you need some wind-blocking leg warmers, turn to GORE Bike Wear's Windstopper III Leg Warmers. The WindStopper Soft Shells and fleece linings warm your legs while you blast down the straight-aways. Flat seams and an anatomical cut raise the comfort level. GORE Bike Wear made these warmers with zip closures at the bottom so you won't feel like you're struggling into a wetsuit, and provided gripper elastic on the upper hems for a secure fit with your bike shorts.

Look Warm but Tricky Fit

These leg warmers look like they will be incredibly warm, but they did not work out for me. I ordered a Small, and they were too tight in the upper thigh and too long. Had the length not been an issue, I would have tried the medium, but I knew they would be far too long. I'm 5' 5" 130 lbs. with fairly big thighs, and these just don't seemed to be sized to fit average height women. These definitely look well made and warm with good wind and water resistance. I would definitely buy them if Gore made a women's version. I still recommend these, but take the time to measure your leg and reference the sizing chart before buying.

A bit spendy, but nice | |

I bought these to extend my winter cycling. I live in North Florida so it does not get too cold and I can usually get away wearing these with a pair of bib shorts. These do not necessarily trap heat as much as I thought they would, but they do an awesome job of knocking down the wind. They stay up nice on my leg too, I might have to adjust them once on a long ride. All in all I am loving these so far. I ordered a Medium and am 6' 168 lbs with an athletic build.

These are the best leg warmers I've tried, period. All Gore wear is pricey, yes, but its worth it considering it maybe the last foul weather bike gear that you need to buy, not to mention the lifetime guarantee. There is almost no need to wear any thermal lining under these unless temperatures are below 15-20 degrees fahrenheit.
