| I have found nothing great about this product. The installation, although not overly difficult, became quite irritating. The metal hooks left scratches on my car. The straps barely hold anything, and feel completely unstable. The saddles where the bikes rest, are able to slide freely with barely any resistance (and that resistance degrades over time). I was hoping to have somewhat of a 'decent' product for this price I paid. Nothing about it is decent. It's something I may pay less than ten dollars for. You can tell it was made incredibly cheap and they're making quite a profit off of selling one. | |

| ***Pros*** -Metal buckles on all six straps, seem very secure. -Easy to install. Rack holds steadily to car, no slipping. -Bike rests swivel on the bar, so you can tilt inward and rest a ladie's bike. -Bottom bar rests on truck (near license plate) and NOT the bumper. -Can still open/use trunk. **Cons** -Plastic straps that go over the bike's top bar will NOT hold, even at low speeds. That con is a pretty big one as your bike WILL fall off if you do not take extra precautions. I do believe a simple and cheap strip of velcro (found at any hardware store) wrapped over and around the bike top bar in addition to the built in plastic straps would hold the bike just fine. -- I myself did not buy a commercial bike rack so I could engage in jerry rigging something, so I returned it. However, it's a big step up in price to find a better solution. If you don't have the money to spare, this would be a great starter option. | |
