Granite Gear Toughsacks are built with a tough 70 denier rip-stop nylon with a white pigmented coating, so you can see into them more easily (this is the same proven fabric used in Granite Gear Dry Sacks and Drylite compression sacks). They also feature Hypalon grommets which are lighter and hold up better than brass grommets.

Great for stuffing winter clothes
| Rating: | ![]() |
I bought a bunch of these to pack my munchkins' (2 & 3 yrs) winter clothes for a 2-week Christmas trip, and love them. I managed to stuff 3 pairs of ski pants into a size 4 sack, and ski jumpsuits each fit into a size 3. I wonder why I hadn't bought them before. They are also great for organizing small items like hair ornaments and toys.

"As good as it gets." | |

| The Granite Gear Tough Sacks are great for carrying everything from meds. small sack to the larger ones that I use to hold a fishing reel. I cannot tell you how many sacks of various deions and prices I have purchased over the years. They never seem to last and are usually cheaply made. Not so the Tough Sacks. These are the last type sacks you will have to buy. They cinch tight, are virtually leak proof, and overall are the best sacks on the market. You may be able to pay more but you cant buy better. | |

Very Handy | |

I've got two each of #'s 1 through 3. They come in very handy for anything & everything. I even use a #1 for my small golf items like tees, ball markers, various tools, etc. The GG's don't have a top, inner flap so they're not as water resistant as my old Chouinard's but as long as you keep them above water, they're fine. The #2 works great as a fuel bottle carrier & the coated nylon material keeps small spills in check.

Glad i didnt get purple!

Tough little sack, but an inner flap would make this product a lot better. All in all very handy to have a bunch of these laying around. I use the 2 of the #3's to stuff my tent and rain fly seperately, in case the fly is wet when it's time to pack up and hit the trail. That way my tent won't fester in the moisture also. I use the #6 for my clothes.

If you wanna stay organized...

I'm the type that likes to have things organized and separated. These are great for doing so. They are really durable and great for camping. I liked putting my blankets, pillow cases, snacks in them. Really useful to put clothes already worn in them instead of a plastic bag. Doesn't retain smell. These are just nice toughsacks to have!

Simple and Effective Stuff

These seemed to be a little smaller than I expected, but I still put them to good use. The smalls were perfect for keeping my base layers, socks, bandanas, and socks organized (in one) and my stove, fuel, lighter, etc in another. Water resistant enough for a pack but I wouldn't leave them out on a rainy night.

Granite Gear Toughsacks

I used the sack (#6) to store the emergency blanket in my car. It works perfectly! I was able to stuff the blanket neatly into the bag so it's neatly stored in my trunk and looks so cool! The blanket was a queen size fleece blanket, so the sack capacity was better than I expected also.

Got a size three and four to use as food bags for backpacking. I had a hard time figuring out the exact size they were going to be before ordering but the worked great. A four is about he size of a large loaf of bread and a little extra. Anywho they held up great.

Nifty little things...

This is another nice product from Granite Gear... Not quite as nice as the rock solid compression sacks they have, but these work to organize small things together and sort out clothes and things for backpacking trips. If you are organization oriented then you will love these no matter what!

"Moosejaw takes money, but refuses to provide ordered merchandise"
| Rating: | ![]() |
| When ordering this item, I also ordered Bibler replacement Tent Stakes, Moosejaw item 65371. This item is described as Tough 24 cm 9 in tent stakes by Bibler. Made from aircraft-quality aluminum. I anticipated 9 inch stakes. I paid for 9 inch stakes. Yet Moosejaw sent me 6 7/8 inch 17.5 cm stakes. I promptly advised Moosejaw of their error. The first Moosejaw person said that I must pay a premium for Moosejaw's failure to send me the merchandise for which I had paid. That is, that I must either buy the items again or incurr the costs of re-shipping Moosejaw's error, before Moosejaw would send the merchandise for which I had paid. The next Moosejaw person seemed to agree that Moosejaw was un | |
